2011-09-28::Jenny's first motorcycle trip

Preparations

2011-09-22: Congratulations Jenny!! - for taking the Motorcycle Rider Training Course and getting her Motorcycle Endorsement.

After taking the Motorcycle Rider Training Course, in which she learned to ride a motorcycle, she rides my F650 for the first time (2011-09-22).


First day of practice in the desert.


Second day of practice.


Third day of practice.

Third day of practice.
Forth day of practice. Almost ready for her first motorcycle trip.
Riding two-up.

Jenny's first road trip, 750 miles, 4 days to Colorado and back.

Loading the bike with two sets of luggage.

We will ride two-up from our home in Arizona to colorado, then Jenny will ride this bike back home while I ride a different bike.

Day 1

September 27, 2011: Arizona City to Show Low

New set of riding clothes with armor - better suited for highway riding.
We stop and admire Arizona's Salt River Canyon.
On the southern outskirts of Show Low, Arizona.

Day 2

September 28, 2011: Show Low to Mancos, Colorado

After a night in a motel, we're ready to ride again.
Coffee stop.
We reach the motorcycle shop in Mancos, Colorado, and have our first look at the new-to-me Dakar.
At a motel in Cortez CO.
The BMW F650 becomes Jenny's bike.

Day 3

September 29, 2011: Cortez CO to Show Low

Day 4

September 30, 2011: Show Low to Arizona City

Winkelman AZ
This random dude rode with us for an hour, until reaching the turn-off for Tuscon. It was fun having him along.
This trip was the first of many more, Jenny and her F650, and me and my Dakar.
