The digitals make great backpacks. See our Backpack Kit colors.

You could also make a Net-Tent floor of this material. Or even a Tarp. The prices of our urethanes are the same as our silicone nylons. To order, just leave us a note that you want the urethane instead of the silicone. And be sure to specify a color.

A Ray-Way tarp made of our digital material would work great for low-profile wilderness camping, when you want to blend in with the natural surroundings. This is the best material by far for blending in.

The digital camouflage pattern is also what the US military uses in many areas. If you know someone deployed in the Middle East, they might like you to make them a tarp of our digital material.

For wilderness camping, a urethane-coated Net-Tent floor would not be as slippery as silicone nylon, but would be somewhat heavier.

If you find that the floor of your Ray-Way Net-Tent is too slippery, you could cut out a torso-sized piece of urethane and sew it onto the bottom of your silicone floor, then seal the seams on the inside. Or you can replace the silicone floor with a urethane floor. You can order the urethane material from our Order Form. Just order a length of silicone-nylon, and leave us a note that you want the urethane instead of the silicone.

On our 3rd PCT thru-hike, we used a tarp made of urethane-coated nylon. This tarp weighed less than half of our light-weight tents that we had used on our previous thru-hikes, and yet it preformed much better that the tents. Our Ray-Way silicone-nylon tarps weigh even less, but the point is, the urethanes work too.

Weight comparison:
Urethane-coated nylon = 3.7 oz/yd2
Silicone-coated nylon = 1.3 oz/yd2
A Ray-Way tarp made of Urethane would weigh 2.8 (3.7/1.3) heaver than Silicone.

Our urethane-coated nylon is first quality fabric only; no "seconds." This material is 1.9 ounces per square yard prior to coating; and after coating it is around 2.7 oz/yd˛.

This fabric is a lot stronger than any silicone-nylon; it stretches less, and is more durable. It might be the preferred choice for someone who frequently camps in high winds.
